A microchip inside your mouth to replace your cell phone..?

Watches projecting holograms, electronic sunglasses & hats linked to satellites, speaking sneakers and three-dimensional TVs... That's perhaps not true today, but that's what French primary school pupils think the future will be made of...

For the twentieth anniversary of ESCP-EAP Paris' Master in Media Management, two current students decided to submit, to a Parisian primary school's class, this subject of redaction: "Media production, distribution and streaming in 2028". The outcomes of this original experience are really interesting! First of all, what gets out of these redactions, apart from all the weird devices mentioned before, is the disappearance of paper (books, sheets, etc.). The second idea (linked to the first one) that often emerges is the preservation of the environment. We can already feel the massive commitment that new generations will have to the nature and our environment. Finally, this kind of interactions and relations between students and pupils should be strongly encouraged, as it brings understanding and knowledge sharing between generations!

Calvin Harris. The next step.

Let's talk about music. But not anything too common or boring, let's pick the newcomer, the revelation of the last few months: Calvin Harris.

What makes this guy so popular & hype and receiving so much press? First of all, it sounds fresh & simple and the album is highly addictive. Then, the guy is scottish and plays dance... This is quite rare and should be mentioned. According to the BBC, "Dance music should make you want to dance, possibly sing, and jump around with your friends and loved ones", and this is exactly what Harris managed to do with his first album... Because yes, it's his first album and he was only 22 when it was released! Another great thing is the humour going with this album. That's just fun! Merrymaking mates...

Which songs should you listen to immediately love it?
Disco Heat & I Created Disco & Merrymaking At My Place & Acceptable In The 80's & Vegas...
Then, you'll listen to the other ones, and you'll fall in love with them as well.

- Calvin Harris would like you to believe the following myth: "first, there was Madonna; then, there was Daft Punk; now, there is Calvin Harris." -

Immersive Media. At the heart of the motion.

For the first post of this blog, I wanted something really innovative and full of promise. I just found it thanks to the (excellent) French blog "PresseCitron". Immersive videos are quite new (mid-nineties) and allow users to enjoy a full and dynamic control of viewing direction (up & down, right & left) during the playback! In simple terms, you can watch a video at 360°, as if you were at the heart of the action.

At the time of digital media, this technology opens many possibilities for brands (viral marketing) and maybe for a new kind of movies (films & TV shows), where you could navigate inside and choose whatever you want to see and focus on.

Some examples...
